Preventive measures for cylinder sticking in air-cooled diesel engines Elimination methods

(1) When the air-cooled diesel engine is working, it is necessary to ensure that the fan has sufficient air volume. Every 100 hours of diesel engine operation, pull the fan tape break signal switch and observe whether the tape break indicator light on the instrument panel is on. If not, check and replace it in time. Every 100 hours of diesel engine operation, check the tension of the fan tape once. The method is to push the middle of the fan tape by hand. When the downward pressure is greater than 30mm, turn the torsion spring of the tape tensioner by an angle. Otherwise, the fan speed will be reduced due to the tape being too loose, resulting in insufficient air volume. To prevent the fan tape from slipping and reducing the fan speed, the fan tape and each tape wheel must not be greased and should be checked frequently. When the fan tape is excessively worn, both tapes should be replaced in time, and only one tape should not be replaced. Every 100 hours of diesel engine operation, the fan bearing and tensioner bearing should be poured with butter once. Every 200 hours of diesel engine operation, the working condition of the fan bearing and tensioner bearing should be checked. When removing the tape and turning the fan belt pulley and tension pulley by hand, the rotation should be very flexible and there should be no jamming. Every 1000 hours of diesel engine operation, the fan bearing and tension pulley bearing should be disassembled, cleaned with diesel, and reassembled after replacing the grease. When the machine is stopped, it is strictly forbidden to let the diesel engine idle for a long time, otherwise the air volume will decrease sharply, causing the diesel engine temperature to rise sharply. The diesel engine air guide cover must not be dented or deformed, the fastening must be tight and there must be no air leakage, and the windshield must not be missing or lost.

(2) Keep the air-cooled diesel engine clean to facilitate ventilation and heat dissipation. The air-cooled diesel engine is most afraid of oil leakage. If it leaks, the oil will be blown onto the heat sink by the fan and adhere to dust, thus affecting the heat dissipation of the diesel engine. The prevention method is to replace the lubricating oil according to the season, check the oil storage in the oil pan every day, and check in time when the lubricating oil is found to be deteriorated, thinned or water enters. When the oil is insufficient, add the same brand of lubricating oil; ensure that the air filter and oil filter are always in good working condition, and maintain them regularly (in harsh environments, the air filter must be maintained every day) to prevent the oil from deteriorating due to wear and blowby of the cylinder liner and piston ring; for more oil information, please follow the WeChat public account Oil Circle. The crankshaft should be maintained regularly (generally decomposed once every 2 to 3 years), clean the sludge in the centrifugal chamber, clean the crankshaft and bearings, replace the worn bearings in time, and check the coaxiality of the crankshaft after assembly; regularly check and adjust the diesel engine's valve timing and valve clearance, understand the wear of the matching parts, and adjust or replace them in time if they are seriously worn to extend the service life of the bearings. The method to eliminate diesel engine oil leakage is that if there is sludge on the fan blades, they should be wiped clean with kerosene in time. If there is oil on the surface of the cooling fins of the diesel engine cylinder liner and cylinder head, it should be scrubbed with a brush dipped in soda water, and then the hose should be connected to the air tank and the cleaning liquid should be blown clean with compressed air. Under normal circumstances, the oil radiator should be scrubbed with a cloth dipped in kerosene every 200 hours of diesel engine operation; the cooling fins should be cleaned once every 500-600 hours of diesel engine operation. The inlet and outlet of the oil radiator and each weld should not leak oil, otherwise it will not only dirty the radiator itself, but also pollute the cooling fins of the diesel engine.

(3) Ensure that there is enough oil in the oil pan of the air-cooled diesel engine. If there is insufficient oil in the oil pan, it will cause the diesel engine to overheat during operation and cause cylinder sticking. Therefore, the oil in the oil pan should be checked before starting every day, and the oil level should be flush with the mark on the oil dipstick.

(4) Regularly check the working status of the air-cooled diesel engine. Every 600 hours of operation, check whether the fuel supply advance angle is around 35°. At the same time, check whether the injectors of each cylinder are dripping. If the fuel supply is delayed or the injectors are dripping during operation, the diesel engine will overheat. Do not let the diesel engine run overloaded for a long time. When overhauling the diesel engine, cold grinding and hot testing must be carried out according to the repair specifications. The diesel engine can only be allowed to work at full load after completing the test run procedure and maintenance.
